I was invited to perform some close up magic at the wedding on Ryan and Abbie on Saturday, 18th July 2015 at Thornton Manor, in the Wirral. I've performed at the venue quite a few times now, and it's safe to say it's absolutely stunning; it's literally bursting with character! I was asked to perform magic to the wedding guests immediately following the speeches - the same time upon which the main room was being turned-over and the evening guests were starting to arrive. This is an ideal time to have magic at a wedding, as the guests are always in a great mood (who isn't happier after they've eaten!) and it's the perfect was to kick off the night and welcome the evening guests.
There were around 120 guests, so I recommended 2 hours of magic - which just so happened to lead perfectly into the bride and groom's first dance; so it couldn't have worked out better.
The guests were absolutely lovely and Ryan, the groom, told me afterwards that they'd had nothing but rave reviews, which is absolutely fantastic and brilliant to hear.
I had a brilliant time on the day (and even managed to get a bit of sun with some of the guests sitting in the manor's outside area) so it really was a pleasure to be a part of.
